ABOUT TRACEY
I am an experienced counselor and psychotherapist with the aim of helping adults and children gain a more cohesive sense of self. Over time, indications of improvement may be seen as a significant reduction or elimination of the presenting symptoms. I believe that counseling should have a beginning and an end; that progress and healing can be achieved, and that therapy should not be an indefinite process.
My private practice in Surrey provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals, couples, and young people, including child therapy. With years of experience in the field, I have worked as a therapist at renowned institutions such as The Priory Group, Woking Hospice, NHS, and several prominent addiction agencies. I am also an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and have trained at the leading treatment centre Onsite Workshops in Nashville, USA. My qualifications include a Masters and B.A (Hons) in psychotherapy, and I am currently undertaking a doctorate. Additionally, I am EMDR accredited and one of the few therapists in the UK with specialist skills as an EMDR child therapist.

In addition to specialising in addiction, I am well-versed in how addiction can affect family members, with a full understanding of 12-Step programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Codependents Anonymous. I also work with clients facing challenges such as bereavement, anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, and feelings of being lost and not knowing where to turn.
I am a children's therapist located near you who practices integrative counseling. My approach revolves around understanding and working with the client's relationships in their life. I incorporate various therapeutic methods, including attachment theory, psychodynamic therapy, Gestalt therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and art therapy techniques. In addition, I encourage clients to use objects as symbolic representations of challenging emotions or experiences that may be difficult to verbalise.
